Hello, my name is Thorn and welcome to my slice of design paradise. I’m a graphic designer
with a sturdy foundation in design principles that were created along my academic training. My
background includes hands on experience with solo projects outside of academics, including
creating social media banners and icons for client profiles. These included a mix of illustration,
typography, and branding focus.
My career goal is to bring my skills to an agency where collaboration, creativity, and diverse
clients will allow me to contribute my ideas and set a path for me to grow as a designer.

A vibrant, retro-inspired design that fuses bold typography with a dynamic color gradient to capture the warmth and emotional pull of nostalgia. The mix of bright tones and smooth shading reflects both energy and sentimentality. This was created using In-Design and Illustrator.

A playful yet emotive design featuring a sad frog motif and lily pads, combining soft greens and rounded typography to balance humor and introspection. The design evokes calmness and whimsy while visually expressing the band's name. This was created using Illustrator and Photoshop.

This image showcases a clean and modern VIP event badge design created for Melancholy Live at Ford Center. The badge features an elegant green and gold color scheme with Art Nouveau-inspired typography, evoking a refined yet emotional atmosphere consistent with the event’s tone. This was created using Photoshop.

This promotional poster was created for the fictional music event Melancholy Live at Ford Field. The design blends playful natural imagery with bold typography to convey a whimsical yet moody tone. The green frog and lily pad motifs reinforce the event’s “Melancholy” branding while maintaining a lighthearted, organic aesthetic. This was created using Photoshop.

This artwork was created as a conceptual single cover for Fire Sign (2025) by the fictional band Melancholy under Artemis Records. The design merges bold elemental imagery with surreal whimsy — juxtaposing vivid flames with a frog resting on a flower to symbolize transformation, intensity, and natural resilience. This was created using Photoshop.
Makeup.
This mockup was created to show case the different ways the Melancholy band logo would look upon merchandise. The chosen colors are meant to keep a theme of both sadness and boldness. The image was created using Photoshop.
